A small experiment with VoiceOver and Processing.

A processing script analyzes the color input captured by a webcam; each range of color blobs (red, black, white, yellow, green, blue) triggers random samples from its corresponding folder. All samples consist of small snippets from Jorge Luis Borges' "Book of Imaginary Beings" in its original language, Spanish, as read by the VoiceOver speech synth. Each snippet was taken from a description of a creature in the book that mentioned its corresponding color.

The installation can behave in distinct ways, depending on its surrounding environment and physical setup. A spy cam pointed at a group of people and webcam pointed at a single-color object in a setup where people can interact with the sounds willingly will yeld very different results.
